Recruitment Direct UK Limited is committed to ensuring, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety, and welfare of its employees, temporary workers, contractors, candidates, clients, and visitors.

We recognise our responsibilities under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and are committed to providing a safe working environment and safe systems of work.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • Employees and consultants of Recruitment Direct UK Ltd
  • Temporary workers and contractors placed with clients
  • Visitors to our premises
  • Activities carried out on behalf of Recruitment Direct UK Ltd

3. Responsibilities

Senior Management

Senior management is responsible for:

  • Implementing and maintaining this Health & Safety Policy
  • Ensuring adequate resources are available
  • Monitoring compliance with health and safety requirements

Employees and Consultants

All employees and consultants must:

  • Take reasonable care of their own health and safety
  • Follow health and safety instructions and procedures
  • Report hazards, incidents, or near misses promptly

Clients

Clients are responsible for:

  • Providing a safe working environment for temporary workers
  • Complying with all applicable health and safety legislation
  • Informing Recruitment Direct UK Ltd of any known risks or incidents

4. Risk Assessment

Recruitment Direct UK Ltd takes reasonable steps to:

  • Identify hazards associated with work activities
  • Assess risks and implement appropriate control measures

Clients are responsible for carrying out suitable and sufficient risk assessments for roles undertaken by temporary workers.


 

5. Training & Information

We ensure that:

  • Employees receive appropriate health and safety information
  • Temporary workers are provided with relevant safety guidance for their assignments
  • Health and safety responsibilities are clearly communicated

6. Accident & Incident Reporting

All accidents, incidents, and near misses must be reported as soon as possible.

Recruitment Direct UK Ltd will:

  • Record and investigate reported incidents
  • Take corrective action where necessary
  • Report incidents to enforcing authorities where legally required

7. Work Equipment & Working Environment

We take reasonable steps to ensure:

  • Equipment provided by Recruitment Direct UK Ltd is safe and suitable
  • Office environments are maintained in a safe condition

Where workers are placed on client sites, clients are responsible for providing safe equipment and working conditions.


 

8. Remote & Lone Working

Where employees work remotely or alone:

  • Reasonable steps will be taken to manage risks
  • Appropriate communication arrangements will be maintained
  • Guidance will be provided to support safe working practices

9. Monitoring & Review

Health and safety performance is monitored, and this policy is reviewed periodically to ensure ongoing effectiveness and legal compliance.

10. Governing Law

This policy is governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
